Beanstream Certifies with Paymentech.

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA - January 15th, 2004

Beanstream Internet Commerce, Inc., a leading Canadian electronic payment and authentication solutions provider , announced today that it has teamed with Dallas-based Paymentech, to offer expanded secure payment processing solutions to Canadian and US based merchants. Beanstream has recently been certified as a 3rd party processor with Paymentech.

Beanstream's built-in security features make it a powerful tool against hackers who steal merchant ID numbers and use them to make fraudulent card refunds. Beanstream provides all merchants a username and password to prevent unauthorized transactions, including refunds, from being processed against their merchant account. The process happens transparently, so retailers and on-line merchants are not burdened with extra steps in a transaction.
